going to the Hutt on the train is a whirlwind job. 10:46 if the train is on time and it usually is gives only about an hour and a half to do things there. full marks to NZR. Chucked some stuff in the bag for Rhys to pay for a custard cream twist and a pie at mr bun and included a paper back of Jane Eyre. Love to grok the countryside and then read through the tunnel. ocd like. Got out Jane Eyre and proceeded to start in on the last chapter. wow! what an eyeopener. a bildungsroman that traces the protagonists moral and spiritual development from childhood to adulthood. At first I thought the prose was almost melodramatic but soon enough I was grabbed by the honesty of emotion and the truth of the story. wonderful stuff for girls and one of the greatest novels in the english language. serendipity for an old fool. Unfortunately I lost it in the washup but I will find another copy hard to believe that mcp  (male chauvinist prejudice) kept me from enjoying this wonderful novel for ...

new zealand and insanity...

Urgent review' needed after mental health patient commits second killing - Chief Victims Advisor New Zealand must surely be the only country in the world where unqualified people believe they can use logic to argue sick people into sanity. They actually believe that because they went to the right school and have a nice car then they can intellectually  bully mad people into agreeing with them and then claiming they are cured or are amenable to social conditioning.   Share on Link

Parallel universe stuff' -Former Australian PM Malcolm Turnbull on Winston Peters downplaying Trump’s trade war 6:59 am today   Share this   Share on Twitter Share on Facebook Share via email Share on Reddit Share on Linked In Richard Larsen ,  Producer - 30' with Guyon Espiner Former Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has criticised New Zealand Foreign Minister Winston Peters over his decision to fire New Zealand's former High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Phil Goff, describing the move as surprising and a sign of weakness in the face of Donald Trump's foreign policy threats. In an interview on  30 With Guyon Espiner,  Turnbull said he was taken aback by  Peters' sacking of Goff  following comments the diplomat made questioning Trump's understanding of history at a Chatham House event.  these people have bluffed two governments into believing they know what they are doing when patently they do not. what is supposed to be a caring if not therapeutic organisation has turned into  profit sharing for those lucking enough to get hooked up to the tit caring for unfortunates has become the next best occupation for people who cannot get jobs anywhere else. everywhere we see the government handing over powers that should be jealously guarded retained with standards zealously enforced and what we have ended up with is a mish mash of noodle heads who think their own thoughts are facts. meanwhile sly shits are getting away with it and laughing at the rest of us.

Eight miles high, and when you touch down You'll find that it's stranger than known Signs in the street, that say where you're going Are somewhere just being their own Nowhere is there warmth to be found Among those afraid of losing their ground Rain gray town, known for its sound In places, small faces unbound Round the squares, huddled in storms Some laughing, some just shapeless forms Sidewalk scenes, and black limousines Some living, some standing alone Source:  LyricFind
