Got out Jane Eyre and proceeded to start in on the last chapter. wow! what an eyeopener. a bildungsroman that traces the protagonists moral and spiritual development from childhood to adulthood. At first I thought the prose was almost melodramatic but soon enough I was grabbed by the honesty of emotion and the truth of the story. wonderful stuff for girls and one of the greatest novels in the english language. serendipity for an old fool. Unfortunately I lost it in the washup but I will find another copy hard to believe that mcp  (male chauvinist prejudice) kept me from enjoying this wonderful novel for ...
