Chucked some stuff in the bag for Rhys to pay for a custard cream twist and a pie at mr bun and included a paper back of Jane Eyre. Love to grok the countryside and then read through the tunnel. ocd like.

Got out Jane Eyre and proceeded to start in on the last chapter. wow! what an eyeopener. a bildungsroman that traces the protagonists moral and spiritual development from childhood to adulthood.

At first I thought the prose was almost melodramatic but soon enough I was grabbed by the honesty of emotion and the truth of the story.

wonderful stuff for girls and one of the greatest novels in the english language.
