 talking to people who say that after the 1942 earthquakes the loss of original  buildings caused Carterton to lose its ambience.

dang! 

a previous mayor Gary Mcphee sought to create a new ambience but he never quite got it right.

too much opposition from the nay sayers

now here is a start for the way to go

after the death of Pete King the magnificent family business building in broadway was sold.

It is in the middle of a repaint.

dont know what the colour scheme is going to be but if it was me the repaint would be reds yellows and blacks with real cowboy lettering
